I provide individual adult psychotherapy services to address a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and life transitions, including pursuing college and graduate studies, becoming and being a parent, relocating, career changes, and grief/loss. I hold a holistic view of the complex societal and cultural contexts that influence our lives.
My approach is primarily guided by ideas and techniques from psychoanalytic therapy, a more intensive approach in which we try to have curiosity about both the conscious and unconscious reasons for our choices. We hope that with more awareness and deeper understanding about ourselves and others, we then feel more freedom in our choices and ultimately, greater well-being.
I can speak Chinglish (Mandarin and Cantonese). It is also important to me to provide queer- and gender-affirming care. I offer telehealth appointments for California residents as well as have in-person availability.
